Richard Epstein at Forbes.com

Richard Epstein of the University of Chicago and NYU Law Schools is now writing a column entitled “The Libertarian” for Forbes.com. The most recent column as of this writing is on a topic that Epstein knows a good deal about – medical and drug economics. Here is a teaser:

“This past week, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the blockbuster case of Wyeth v. Levine, which posed one simple question. Once the Food and Drug Administration has approved the warnings about drugs licensed for sale, may a plaintiff bring state law action for damages on the ground that those warnings are inadequate?

The principled answer to that question is a resounding ‘no.’”

I’m not sure if I am happy with Richard Epstein’s column being labelled ‘The Libertarian’. If it was just ‘A libertarian’ I would have less to complain about.

    Mario,

Are you going to offer RSS feeds or an iGoogle plug-in from your blog? A lot of us use feedreaders these days and there is a second benefit. If you use RSS or (even better) the google plug in, your comments get to those of us hidden behind corporate firewalls. We can read you at work. In fact get paid to do it! 😉

    regards

    Sometimes a firewalled reader
